Project Adoption

I am an enthusiastic photographer, and I absolutely love photographing my client’s as they build their families, whether through maternity, newborns, kids, or family portraits, I love it all! I strongly believe that God has a plan and a purpose for every thing in our lives, and this photography business is no exception!

Since launching Kathryn Ewton Photography in the spring of 2011, I had no idea how God intended to use this venture in our lives. But at the beginning of 2012, we realized that this photography business can serve as a means to raise money for adoption, while at the same time creating gorgeous portraits for other families. Most of the Christian adoption agencies we looked into require 3 years of marriage before beginning the adoption process. Since we had just celebrated our 2 year anniversary in November 2011, we figured we would have a year to raise money through my photography business, as well as to prepare our hearts and home for the child that God has in mind for us to adopt.

My husband and I are ready to begin building our family, and filling our home with the children that God desires for us to have. However, during our first 2 years of marriage, we struggled with both the hurt and the stress of trying to start our family, and have come to the reality that perhaps God has a different path for us. Yes, infertility is a hard thing to go through, but with my loving husband, supportive family and friends, and most of all my wonderful savior, Jesus Christ, I know I have been loved and comforted through every tear cried. We have always wanted to adopt, and I even asked my husband his thoughts on adoption before we were engaged. We both agreed then that we would like to adopt, and it seems that now is the time for us to begin preparing and planning to make that a reality.

When it came time to create a brand & logo for Kathryn Ewton Photography, I thought it would be appropriate to include a tree and a dove in some way. A tree because we have planned to decorate our nursery one day with some sort of a tree theme, and a dove to represent the Holy Spirit, and to remind me that God is my primary focus, and I am so thankful to have been saved by faith in Jesus Christ, and have the Holy Spirit living within me.

Please know that I am committed to providing my clients with love and care as I photograph them in the years to come, and that I am grateful for each and every client that chooses me as their photographer. Thank you for partnering with my husband and I as we prepare to start our family through adoption. In 2012 and beyond, Kathryn Ewton Photography will be the primary fundraising source for Project Adoption.
